Tribute

This page is dedicated to those members who have given so much to this association and to the Locksmith and Security Trade.

Phyllis Jarvis, wife of Fred Jarvis, mother to Wendi and Robert III went home to be with the lord on December 12, 2010.  She was always a bright smiling face at all of our functions, and will continue to smile upon us from above.  Thank you for all that you did, we will miss you!

This page is dedicated to all of the members who started CFLA, making it what it is today by nurturing a strong community of dedicated Locksmiths whose goal was to improve their skills, increase their business stock and create a reputation among their clientele by being a member of an elite organization that strived to educate Locksmiths and set them apart from others.

I would love to hear about the genesis of this famous quote. It does make you wonder what Einstein was thinking, the process could go in many different directions. How DID we become Locksmiths?  We all have our own stories. I don’t know when Big Guy became a locksmith, but I do know that writing about his achievements over the years would be like inventorying his warehouses. I’ve always liked the term, “Eaten Up” to describe someone’s interest in a sport or hobby, and so I think of Big Guy and how this term related to how Locksmithing influenced his life.  Aside from his Christian faith and commitment, he certainly mirrored it in his involvement to our association and to the education of locksmiths.  Agree or disagree with his opinions, we all shared a great deal of respect for the man who kept things going.  In that spirit I believe we all want to see great things for our association as did Big Guy.  His companionship and leadership cannot be replaced and we will honor him in all that we do in the future.

“If I had only known, I would have been a locksmith.”

- Albert Einstein
